God’s Wisdom for Our Marriages – Proverbs 31:10-31

God’s Wisdom for Our Marriages – Proverbs 31:10-31

23:26-28
26 My son, give me your heart
and let your eyes delight in my ways,
27 for an adulterous woman is a deep pit,
and a wayward wife is a narrow well.
28 Like a bandit she lies in wait
and multiplies the unfaithful among men.

12:4 A wife of noble character is her husband’s crown,
but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones.

14:1 The wise woman builds her house,
but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.

24:3-4
3 By wisdom a house is built,
and through understanding it is established;
4 through knowledge its rooms are filled
with rare and beautiful treasures.

15:17 Better a small serving of vegetables with love
than a fattened calf with hatred.

17:1 Better a dry crust with peace and quiet
than a house full of feasting, with strife.

31:10 A wife of noble character who can find?
She is worth far more than rubies.

18:22 He who finds a wife finds what is good
and receives favor from the Lord.

19:14 Houses and wealth are inherited from parents,
but a prudent wife is from the Lord.

11:22 Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout
is a beautiful woman who shows no discretion.

31:30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.

19:13 A foolish child is a father’s ruin,
and a quarrelsome wife is like
the constant dripping of a leaky roof.

21:9 & 25:24 Better to live on a corner of the roof
than share a house with a quarrelsome wife.

21:19 Better to live in a desert
than with a quarrelsome and nagging wife.

30:15 “The leech has two daughters.
‘Give! Give!’ they cry.

13:12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.
