“To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father …” – Revelation 1:5-6
At Redeemer we are committed to following King Jesus, who is the only faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and who is today, as he was 2000 years ago, THE ruler of the kings of the earth. We are also committed to ministry in Jesus’ name, because we believe Christ has made us a local extension of His kingdom. Doing ministry involves personal sacrifice, and, as priests, we are committed to humble service, both to one another and to the Chambersburg community. Here are a several areas of ministry focus.
Community Groups
“…And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together…” – Hebrews 10:24-25 We can’t live the Christian life on our own; we need one another. Community Groups are a great way to connect on a deeper level with other believers, find encouragement, and experience growth in your walk with God. If you are interested in learning more or visiting a group, contact one of the leaders. If you’re…
Children’s Ministries
“…Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, For the Kingdom belongs to such as these…” – Luke 18:16 Jesus allowed children special, privileged, & unhindered access to him. This is the goal of our children’s ministry: to give children, special, privileged, & unhindered access to Jesus and the truths of the gospel. We have a lot of kids at Redeemer, and always love to see more. We take seriously the call for parents & church family…
Youth
“…we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ…” – Ephesians 4:15 We desire that our Youth Ministry be about more than just entertainment. In these formative years, our prayer is that our youth will grow up into maturity in Christ, making the faith their faith. Those in grades 6-12 are invited to join us for fellowship & Bible study on Sundays, 6-8pm. We also have occasional retreats, trips,…
Church Fellowship
“… They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer…” – Acts 2:42 Our Fellowship Team provides many opportunities for church-wide fellowship beyond a Sunday morning connection in order to foster the development of friendships within the body of Christ. These include monthly fellowship meals (after worship, usually on the third Sunday of each month), picnics, and other events.
