23 Be sure you know the condition of your flocks,
give careful attention to your herds;
24 for riches do not endure forever,
and a crown is not secure for all generations.
25 When the hay is removed and new growth appears
and the grass from the hills is gathered in,
26 the lambs will provide you with clothing,
and the goats with the price of a field.
27 You will have plenty of goats\u2019 milk to feed your family
and to nourish your female servants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Proverbs 6:1-5
1My son, if you have put up security for your neighbor,
if you have shaken hands in pledge for a stranger,
2 you have been trapped by what you said,
ensnared by the words of your mouth.
3 So do this, my son, to free yourself,
since you have fallen into your neighbor\u2019s hands:
Go\u2014to the point of exhaustion\u2014
and give your neighbor no rest!
4 Allow no sleep to your eyes,
no slumber to your eyelids.
5 Free yourself, like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter,
like a bird from the snare of the fowler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
21:17 Whoever loves pleasure will become poor;
whoever loves wine and olive oil will never be rich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
21:20 The wise store up choice food and olive oil,
but fools gulp theirs down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
12:9 Better to be a nobody and yet have a servant
than pretend to be somebody and have no food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
13:7 One person pretends to be rich, yet has nothing;
another pretends to be poor, yet has great wealth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
22:7 The rich rule over the poor,
and the borrower is slave to the lender.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
13:11 Dishonest money dwindles away,

28:25 The greedy stir up conflict,
but those who trust in the Lord will prosper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
11:24 One person gives freely, yet gains even more;
another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
11:25 A generous person will prosper;
whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
14:21 It is a sin to despise one\u2019s neighbor,
but blessed is the one who is kind to the needy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
14:31 Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker,
but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
17:5 Whoever mocks the poor shows contempt for their Maker;
whoever gloats over disaster will not go unpunished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
18:23 The poor plead for mercy,
but the rich answer harshly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
19:17 Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord,
and he will reward them for what they have done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
21:13 Whoever shuts their ears to the cry of the poor
will also cry out and not be answered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
22:9 The generous will themselves be blessed,
